About This Mentorship
India faces a growing burden of endocrine and metabolic disorders from Type 2 diabetes and thyroid disease to rare adrenal and pituitary conditions yet the number of trained endocrinologists remains critically low. This mentorship program is built to close that gap.
You will work directly alongside Dr. Surendra Prasad G in his clinical setup observing real consultations, participating in case discussions, and building hands-on experience in the management of endocrine and metabolic disorders under the supervision of a practicing DM Endocrinologist.
Whether you are an MD Medicine resident, DNB candidate, or practicing physician this program gives you the kind of real-world clinical exposure that no lecture or textbook can replicate. Dr. Prasad will guide you through his outpatient practice, inpatient cases, and clinical decision-making in day-to-day endocrinology.
What You Will Do

🏥 Clinical Training Sit in and observe real outpatient consultations and inpatient ward rounds with Dr. Prasad — see how a specialist thinks, examines, and decides. |
🩺 Hands-On Case Participation Actively participate in case workups — history taking, examination, investigations, and management planning — under direct supervision. |

💡 Bedside Teaching Learn clinical reasoning in real time — Dr. Prasad will teach at the bedside, explaining the why behind every decision as it happens. |
📋 Case Discussions & Debriefs End-of-day case review sessions with Dr. Prasad — discuss what you saw, clarify doubts, and connect clinical findings to guidelines and evidence. |
