- Targeted strategies for managing Obesity-linked PCOS, Diabetes, and Fatty Liver.
The Fellowship in Obesity Management offered by Doctyn Academy is a comprehensive 6-month fellowship designed to train doctors in scientific, ethical, and patient-centric management of obesity and related metabolic disorders.
Obesity is one of the fastest growing global health challenges, driving epidemics of type 2 diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, PCOS, NAFLD, sleep apnea, osteoarthritis, and several cancers. Despite this, most patients do not receive structured, evidence-based obesity care.
This fellowship bridges that gap by equipping MBBS doctors and clinicians with practical skills in lifestyle intervention, behavioural counselling, pharmacotherapy (including GLP-1 receptor agonists), long-term follow-up, and multidisciplinary obesity management.
About the Fellowship
Most doctors recognize the need for weight management but lack the specific training to prescribe newer anti-obesity medications (AOMs) or handle the psychology of weight regain. This fellowship solves the three biggest pain points in metabolic practice:
- Clinical Confidence: Know exactly how to dose, titrate, and monitor GLP-1 receptor agonists safely.
- Patient Retention: Learn the communication skills that build trust and prevent the “rebound” effect.
- Practice Growth: Position yourself as a specialist in a high-demand, underserved market
